France must first of all demand back its freedom. Its freedom as a state, freedom as a nation. A free France is a sovereign and independent France!” – “Sovereignty also means the acknowledgement of a sovereign, above which nothing and no-one stands. In France the sovereign is the people!”

Charles de Gaulle? One might think so. But no, this was Marine Le Pen speaking at the 2013 summer university of the Front National.
